Exciting News from the 23rd Young Playwrights Festival at Barter Theatre in Abingdon, VA! On October 28th, Barter Theatre celebrated the incredible talent of young playwrights from 12 high schools across NE Tennessee and SW Virginia. This year, over 260 plays were submitted, showcasing the creativity and passion of our students.

We're thrilled to announce that among the top 8 plays selected for reading by the Barter Players were works by our very own Ava Garrett and Kiya Hudson! Ava's play, "Vast Distances," and Kiya's "Beaufort Anniversary," truly stood out.

Congratulations to all the young playwrights for their amazing contributions!
